Covid: Poland, partial lockdown implemented as of today

Secondary schools closed, weddings banned

(ANSA) - WARSAW, 17 OTT - New restrictions to curb the coronavirus epidemic entered into force in Warsaw and other cities in Poland today, with several areas in the country now categorized as 'red zones'. A partial lockdown was announced by the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. All secondary schools in the 'red zones' will be closed and students will switch to distance learning. Restaurants will close at 21,00, wedding ceremonies are not permitted and there will be stricter limits on the number of people allowed in shops, public transport and religious services. (ANSA).
