Poland: Warsaw will unveil 1 bn plan for Belarus

It will be presented at EU level next week

(ANSA) - WARSAW, 17 SET - Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland is going to unveil an international economic assistance plan to Belarus at a meeting of European Union leaders planned for next week, the Polish public radio reported today.

Morawiecki illustrated that the plan would include "opening the EU to Belarusian entrepreneurs and establishing a stabilization fund," involving the also the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Polish news agency PAP informed. "The fund should really be significant, so at least a billion euros at this stage," Morawiecki said at a joint press conference with his Lithuanian counterpart in Vilnius, quoted by AFP. (ANSA).
