(ANSA) - BUDAPEST, DEC 22 - In a surprise announcement, Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban has nominated a woman to run for president of the Republic. The chosen one is Katalin Novak, 44 years old, Minister of Family Affairs in the current government, which the premier indicated today during a press conference. The Republic's new president will be elected at the end of January by the Parliament. The majority required for the election is two-thirds. (ANSA).
