(ANSA) - BELGRADE, AUGUST 29 - Poland will run a state budget
with no deficit in 2020, Polish prime minister Mateusz
Morawiecki said in Warsaw, after the government sitting passed
the draft of next year' budget, the Polish news agency Pap
reported.
The draft budget foresees income and public expenses both at
around 98.5 billion euro. "For the first time since the
beginning of the economic transformation there will be a
balanced budget," Morawiecki added. According to the Polish
prime minister, quoted by Pap, "there is a difficult
macroeconomic time at the moment", but the fact that Poland can
run a no-deficit budget signals that the country is "on a good
economic path and that the state has been conducting a
responsible economic policy, directed at economic development."
