Energy: Poland, govt works on reducing CO2 emissions
Drafted plan to bring down coal to 30%, focus on nuclear energy
27 November, 11:34The plan, drafted by the Polish Energy ministry, includes measures to reduce the use of coal to produce energy to 30% of the Polish energy mix by 2040, down from the current 80%. Warsaw will also focus on starting to produce energy from nuclear sources by 2033 and to invest in windfarms, Radio Poland informed. The new plan foresees as well that renewable energy sources should constitute 21% the Poland's energy mix by 2030. (ANSA).
