Germany: Bild, Athens claims 376bn for war reparations
Survey conducted by Greek Parliament in 2015
10 October, 16:45The survey has calculated a 171.4bn compensation for destroyed infrastructure and sunken commercial ships. Production losses are calculated at 87.75bn. There are claims for compensation for the dead, prisoners and victims of torture, amounting to between 22 and 107bn.
''Germany does not have to pay, that has been clear in international law since the 1960s. It's just a transparent move by Greek populists to gain support in domestic politics'', Alexander Graf Lambsdorff (Liberal) told the tabloid. (ANSA).
