(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 27 AGO - Romania might ban the construction of new hydropower plants at an altitude between 800 and 1.500 meters, the local news agency Agerpres reported, quoting a draft bill initiated by the Romanian ministry of Waters and Forests. According to the ministry, the law aims at harmonizing the Romanian legislation with the European Union principles, avoiding infringement procedures against Romania. (ANSA).
