(ANSA) - BELGRADE, 11 APR - The production volumes of the Serbian industry reached the maximum levels of the last 25 years in December 2017, but they are still far from the 1990 levels, according to the monthly Macroeconomic analyses and trends (MAT), produced by the Eocnomics Institute in Belgrade with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, local media reported today.

Ivan Nikolic, editor of MAT, said that the increase of the industrial production started with this pace in 2014 and it is higher even in comparison to the production recorded in the industry in Yugoslavia during the decades preceding the collapse of the country. However, industrial production volumes similar to the one recorded in 1990 will be reached only in 2026, Nikolic added.

The production recorded in December 2017 is 44.2% lower than the one recorded 27 years ago. (ANSA).
