Bulgaria,Government position uncertain in view of NatoSummit

Defence minister on presence in Black Sea:'propaganda war'

24 June, 11:46
(ANSA) - TRIESTE - The Bulgarian Government is expected to decide today its position in view of the forthcoming Nato Summit in Warsaw (8-9 July), Novinite reported, specifying that the ministries of defence and foreign affairs are expected to announce more details by the end of the day. Last week, the defence minister Nikolay Nenchev judged the intention to create a naval fleet jointly with Romania and Turkey in order to contrast the perceived Russian threat in the Black Sea, as 'propaganda war with hybrid warfare tactics'. Earlier this month, the defence ministers of the Nato states adopted a plan to deploy four battalions in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in response to the perceived Russian threat in the region.
