Migrant crisis among Bosnian CEI Presidency priorities

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, 10 FEB - Central European Initiative (CEI) Secretary General, Amb. Giovanni Caracciolo di Vietri, met the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnadak, in Sarajevo to discuss the programme of activities of the Bosnian CEI Presidency 2016.

Crnadak underlined that Bosnia would maximise its efforts to promote the economic, social and cultural potential of the entire region and its interconnectivity during its CEI Presidency, with particular attention to transport and energy efficiency initiatives, as well as the strengthening of the entrepreneurship and SMEs. He stressed the important role of the CEI in the European integration process of the countries of the region.

"The migrant crisis will remain on top of the agenda and will be duly addressed by the CEI structures throughout the year", Crnadak said. The minister also announced that Bosnia and Herzegovina would host a number of high-level and expert meetings. In particular, the Meeting of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the CEI Member States will be held in Banja Luka on 29 June 2016.
