Nato Secretary General Stoltenberg in Belgrade

Talks on strengthening cooperation between Alliance and Serbia

(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is today in Belgrade for talks with Serbian leadership focusing on strengthening cooperation between the Atlantic Alliance and the Balkan country, which officially maintains a neutral position.

During the meeting, migrant crisis and terrorism are likely to be discussed, following Paris terror attacks. Serbia, like other countries of the former communist bloc, cooperates with NATO under a 'Partnership for Peace'. In some statements released to Beta agency on the eve of his arrival in Belgrade, the Norwegian diplomat said that Nato and Serbia have a mutual interest in strengthening cooperation. In addition to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Stoltenberg will meet with Foreign and Defense ministers, Ivica Dacic and Bratislav Gasic. (ANSA).
