(ANSA) - MILAN, OCTOBER 26 - A group of female business executives on Monday proposed creating a new economic orientation that seeks to surpass the profit motive, speaking at Milan Expo.

Women entrepreneurs, executives and professionals of the Association of Women Company Business Executives (AIDDA) are creating a permanent workshop for the definition of "a new model of development that integrates the logic of profit with new priorities," said AIDDA President Franca Audisio.

"The goal of the association is to elaborate and promote a new economic model to renew the current system by introducing a 'gender' perspective that pays attention not only to the achievement of profit, but also the well-being of individuals, the pooling of resources, respect for nature, and responsibility towards future generations," said Audisio.

"We have to work on a model aimed at reconciling, sharing, cooperating. In the practice of working women, these values are already present. Our goal is to transform good practices in method," Audisio.

"We speak of a gender perspective as we start from the belief that the main cause of the imbalance of the system that led to the current situation is just the imbalance resulting from the prevalence of male values than female values in the decisions taken at all levels, "added the vice president, Antonella Giachetti.
