(ANSA) - ROME - The Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian
macro-region will soon have a nationwide operations centre
coordinated by the Prime Minister's Office and the Foreign
Ministry. The decision was made by the Interministerial
Committee for European Affairs (CIAE), chaired by undersecretary
for European affairs Sandro Gozi, which was convened at Palazzo
Chigi. ''We will soon be calling - Sandro Gozi announced - a
coordination meeting for the operations centre. The first step
will be the identification of an operational plan that Italy
will then submit to the Governing Board'', the body that
oversees the Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion. The
CIAE also discussed some of the most relevant issues in Italy-EU
relations, such as the so-called digital single market, the
energy union plan, the implementation of European directives and
the participation of EU institutions in Expo 2015. (ANSA).
