Energy: Germany-Norway 'NordLink' officially inaugurated
For exchanging German wind energy with Norwegian hydropower

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, MAY 28 - German Chancellor Angela Merkel
and Norway's Prime Minister Erna Solberg officially inaugurated
yesterday 'NordLink' , a 'green cable' that will allow the
exchange of German wind energy with Norwegian hydropower and
connect the two systems, Nordlink said in a statement.
"With NordLink, Germany and Norway are moving even closer together. The first direct electricity bridge not only helps to stabilise energy prices in both countries. NordLink is a milestone for sustainable energy supply and climate protection in Europe," Merkel stated at the event. (ANSA).
