(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCT 15 - Serbia has joined the
prestigious Michelin Guide, which contains the world's best
restaurants. In reporting this, the Belgrade media added that
the Guide would unveil the Serbian restaurants' names in
December. The top award is the three Michelin stars, based on
five criteria: quality of the products used; mastery in taste
and cooking and preparation techniques: the character of the
chef in the kitchen, the relationship between price and product
offered; the constant level of quality verified by Michelin
inspectors who visit the restaurants anonymously. Among the
region's countries, just Croatia and Slovenia took part in the
Michelin Guide so far, Croatia, with seven starred restaurants,
Slovenia with two. (ANSA).
