Italgas finalizes acquisition of Greek company Depa
Agreement signed at the Italian Embassy in Athens

(ANSA) - BELGRADE, SEP 1 - The transfer of Depa from the
Greek Helpe (Hellenic Petroleum) and the Hellenic sovereign fund
Hradf to the Italian company Italgas was formalized today at the
Italian Embassy in Athens. The contract for the purchase of 100%
of the Greek gas distribution company, worth 733 million euros,
was announced on December 10th. According to Patrizia
Falcinelli, the Italian ambassador to Greece, it is "an
important event not only for the economic strategies shared by
our two countries, but also because it takes place at a critical
time when infrastructures are very important." (ANSA).
