Serbia: at least three companies interested in Novi Sad port
Government might launch privatization tender in September
27 August, 20:19Among the companies willing to participate in the privatization process are the German company Rhenus Logistics, the Valona Group and the Dubai-based DP World, the government official Veljko Kovacevic revealed, SeeNews informed.
The government plans to call a tender for the privatization of the Novi Sad river port in September, Kovacevic added, specifying that the harbor has a real capacity of 2.5 million tonnes annually, while it currently handles only one million tonnes.
According to Kovacevic, the Serbian government hopes to find a partner ready to invest 15 million euro in the construction of new docks, silos and mechanization, to speed up the development of the Novi Sad port. (ANSA).
