(ANSA) - MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 13 - Ukraine is working on another
possible exchange of prisoners with Russia: Ukrainian President
Volodimir Zelensky said during the Yalta European Strategy forum
in Kyiv. "Now - he explained - we are preparing new lists and we
are waiting for a new phase of the exchange. We will talk about
it in Minsk at the Normandy Quartet summit". Zelensky is
expecting a new summit of leaders of the Normandy Quartet
(Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and France) on the Ukrainian crisis
by the end of the month, the president said. Tass and Interfax
news agencies reported. On September 7, Moscow and Kyiv
exchanged about 70 prisoners, 35 on each side. Many analysts
believe this exchange is a first step in resuming dialogue.
Relations between Russia and Ukraine deteriorated after Russia
has occupied Crimea in 2014 and war has begun in Donbas, where
the Kremlin militarily supports separatists. (ANSA).
