(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JULY 22 - The resigning Kosovo prime
minister Ramush Haradinaj said today he believes that the early
elections in Kosovo will take place within two months and that
until the new government takes office he will continue to play
his role.
"The situation in the country is calm and stable and all the
institutions work regularly", he said.
Haradinaj announced his resignation on July 19, motivating
them with his convocation by the Special Hague Tribunal for the
KLA crimes, the Kosovo Liberation Army of which he was one of
the leaders. The premier officially resigned today before the
parliament in Pristina. According to local media, early
elections in Kosovo could take place on September 8.(ANSA).
