(ANSA) - UDINE, APRIL 24 - The smart revolution, technology
transfer and the digital economy, along with investment in
research, innovation and human capital, have key roles in
promoting work and growth. The opportunities and challenges of
innovation and the responses coming from Europe will be the
focus of a conference to be held on May 3-4 in the National
Palace of Culture in Sofia.
Special focus will be dedicated to South-Eastern Europe,
including the Western Balkans. The conference also aims to
enhance dialogue between institutions and companies. The event,
organized by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre
(JRC) with the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU,
will be attended by Stefano Fantoni, president of the Trieste
International Foundation, organizer of ESOF Trieste 2020, Sergio
Paoletti, president of Area Science Park in Trieste, and Stephen
Taylor, co-coordinator of the ESOF Trieste 2020 "Science to
policy" working table and director of Innovation and Complex
Systems at Area Science Park. (ANSA).
