(ANSA) - PRISTINA - President Hashim Hashim Thaci announced the
formation of an ad hoc team to handle the new phase of dialogue
with Belgrade which, in the intentions of Pristina, will have to
end with a definitive and inclusive agreement between the
parties. For this reason, local media reported, Thaci urged all
the political forces to reach an agreement on the formation of
the new government and on the parliament speaker.
This is necessary, according to Thaci, because the
representatives of these institutions will take part in the new
negotiating team. Two and a half months after early elections
which were held in June, Kosovo has no government and no
parliament speaker.
President Thaci's announcement came on the eve of the a meeting
with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, which will take
place tomorrow in Brussels at the invitation of the EU High
Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Federica
Mogherini.
Talks will focus on the new phase of dialogue between Belgrade
and Pristina to favour the normalisation of relations between
the parties, and the implementation of the agreements reached so
far. (ANSA).
