Germany: gap between Merkel & Schulz narrows on eve of vote

(ANSA) - BERLIN - In Germany, on eve of vote, the gap between the two candidates running for chancellor has narrowed: according to Bild am Sonntag's Emnid survey, which was reported today, Angela Merkel may win only 45% of the vote, and Martin Schulz 32%.

Over the past few weeks the gap has narrowed from 29 to 13 points: four weeks ago the two candidates were given, respectively, 51 and 22% of the vote. (ANSA).
