Commissioner focuses on need to create positive conditions

(ANSA) - TRIESTE - "The Western Balkans' regional economic
area must be an incentive" to tackle the problem of youth
unemployment in the region, European Commissioner for
Enlargement Johannes Hahn said at the Business Forum of the
Western Balkans Summit in Trieste, announcing the new common
regional market wanted by the EU.
"The Balkans are still facing considerable unemployment, in the area there is still the drain of young people, but we have to face the problem and create positive conditions for young generation to remain", Hahn stressed.
The regional economic market "is one of the first examples we can show," also "to help relieving past tensions and ensuring a better future in the region". (ANSA).
