Taxes: Estonia, Latvian systems most competitive in OECD
Competitiveness Index looks at more than 40 variables
26 October, 10:10The index developed by the Tax Foundation takes into account more than 40 tax policy variables to define the OECD most competitive fiscal systems, looking at corporate, individual and property taxes and how the systems are efficient. According to the 2018 International Tax Competitiveness Index, other Central- and Eastern Europe EU member states ranked well for the tax competitiveness, with the Czech Republic and Austria in the ninth position (both with 69.6 points), followed by Slovakia (69.4 points) and Hungary (13th, 68.4 points). The least competitive tax systems according to the index are the Italian (46.9 points) and the French one (41.4 points). (ANSA).
