(ANSA) - BELGRADE, JUN 1 - Croatia is ready to join the eurozone, the European Commission said today, opening the way for the Balkan country to adopt the euro in 2023, and thus becoming the 20th European country to join the eurozone. After EU leaders confirm the Commission's evaluation in June, EU finance ministers will decide in July the exchange rate at which Croatia's currency, the kuna, will be converted into the euro on January 1, 2023, (ANSA).
