(ANSA) - SARAJEVO, MAY 30 - Several thousand protesters
participated today in Sarajevo in a demonstration against the
government organized by the opposition under the slogan "No more
silence!". The protesters' parade began 5 minutes to noon in the
historic center of Sarajevo and then reached the Parliament
building. The protesters wanted to show their discontent over
the behavior of current rulers, postponement of elections,
corruption, and numerous scandals. Bosnia is currently
experiencing a period of "dumb dictatorship with three
dictators," said Mirsad Hadzikadic, leader of the "Platform for
Progress", the entity that organized the rally, referring to the
three nationalist leaders, Serbian Milorad Dodik, Croatian
Dragan Covic, and Muslim Bakir Izetbegovic. The SDP (Social
Democratic Party), NiP (People and Justice), Nasa stranka (Our
party) and NBL (Bosnian-Herzegovan independent list) joined the
organizers. "Taking to the streets is the least we can do to
counter the" Mostarization" of the whole country, said one of
the protesters, referring to the fact that elections have not
been held in the capital of Herzegovina since 2008. (ANSA)
