(ANSA) - BELGRADE, OCTOBER 22 - The European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved the financing
of the documentation preparation for a future gas interconnector
between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, the company BH-Gas
announced last week.
The project relates to the construction of an interconnector,
which will comprise a gas pipeline from Zagvozd, in Croatia, to
Posusje, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then to Travnik, with a
secondary branch towards Mostar, the Croatian news agency Hina
illustrated.
BH-Gas said that the project will support gas supply security
and diversification of gas sources.
Bosnia is currently dependent on Russian gas flowing into the
national gas network from neighbouring Serbia, Hina noted.
