(ANSA) - TRIESTE - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs
Vladimir Makei met a delegation of the European Bank for
Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) led by President Suma
Chakrabarti, according to BelTA news agency. "Speaking about the
areas of further cooperation, the parties agreed that there are
opportunities to expand the operations of the bank in Belarus
both through new areas and formats of joint activities and the
increased amounts of financing for the existing projects," the
ministry said. The parts talked about possible further
cooperation, the implementation of joint projects in the banking
sector, utilities and transport infrastructure, renewable
energy, and privatization. It is the second visit of the EBRD
president to Belarus. (ANSA).
