Deputy Premier and 5-Star
Movement (M5S) leader Luigi Di Maio is in France Tuesday and may
meet leaders of the Yellow Jackets protest movement, M5S sources
said.
The M5S leader has vowed to support the protest movement
against President Emmanuel Macron and has also said the M5S
would be interested if it becomes a political movement aiming to
field candidates in the May European elections.
Di Maio's staff did not confirm or deny a planned meeting
with Yellow Jacket representatives.
M5S No.2 Alessandro Di Battista accompanied Di Maio, they
said.
