The EU's delays in dealing
with the Sea-Watch 3 migrant rescue ship are shocking, Italian
Bishops Conference (CEI) head Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti said
Wednesday.
"The slowness of Europe is really shocking," he said.
"That in a giant like Europe, where there are nations which
have the most prosperity in the world, there should be so much
hesitation to take in 47 wretches, of whom 11 children, is
really an immense suffering".
