(ANSA) - Rome, January 23 The main pro-Russian rebel leader
in eastern Ukraine on Friday rejected the notion of fresh truce
talks with Kive.
He said his troops are on the offensive and any talk of a
ceasefire was out of the question.
Alexander Zakharchenko said his forces would push the front
line back to the borders of Donetsk region.
They are in control of the city of Donetsk.
"Our side will not make any attempts at ceasefire talks any
more," he said, quoted by RIA Novosti news agency.
Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany have issued a call to
end fighting which has claimed hundreds of lives.
