Hamas is evil for Pope Francis, the relatives of some of the Israeli hostages held by the Islamist terror group since their horrific October 7 attack said after meeting the Argentine pontiff Monday.
"The meeting with the Pope was very emotional: his solidarity was clear. He said that he is in contact with the Catholic Church in Gaza and that he is working with its channels to free the hostages. He called Hamas evil, bad people," said the relatives.
"We could not have hoped that he would spend so much time with us.
"He was very warm and told us that he will do everything possible, with the countries linked to the Vatican, to get the hostages home, as if it were an international mission".
The relatives were from five families, representing the Bibas family (Shiri, Yarden, Ariel and Kfir); omri Miran; Agam Berger; Guy Bilboa Dalal; and Tamir Nimrodi.
