Te Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) on
Wednesday called for an end to "deplorable" displays of hatred
against Jews in a message ahead of the 33rd day for deepening
and developing dialogue between Catholics and Jews on January
17.
"This will be an important opportunity for Christians to
underscore respect, dialogue and knowledge of Jewish tradition",
said the CEI.
The CEI called for an end to "deplorable displays of
cancellation of memory and hatred against Jews".
There have been increasing episodes of Holocaust denial in Italy
and anti-vaxxers have dressed up as death camp victims.
