Italy is present at World
Youth Day in Krakow with 486 groups and a total of 76,883
pilgrims, organizers said in a tweet on the official WYD Twitter
account on Monday.
Some 844 bishops and 47 cardinals from 107 countries are in
Poland's second city for WYD, which opened Monday and runs until
July 31.
The host country has the largest representation with
172,316 pilgrims and 720 groups, while the event will be
attended by around 2,000 pilgrims with disabilities.
Pope Francis is due to arrive at WYD on Thursday afternoon.
