The archbishop of Perugia said
Thursday he will donate bicycles to refugees to mark his 50th
year in the priesthood.
Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti said he will donate the bikes
to refugees hosted at a facility run by Caritas Catholic
charity, where 62 people have been living since the fall and
another 14 are on the way.
The refugees need the bikes to get to work and school, the
archbishop said.
"By meeting these needs I can give thanks for the
generosity so many people have shown me," Bassetti said.
