The Rome diocese has prepared a
guide to the main events and initiatives in the city for the
Special Jubilee of Mercy starting December 8, it emerged
Thursday.
'Merciful like the Father. The Jubilee of Mercy in the
Church of Rome' will be presented officially on October 19.
The guide lists, among other things, the opening of the
holy door of charity at the Caritas-run hostel and canteen in
Via Marsala near Termini station on December 18; and of the holy
door at the Shrine of Our Lady of Divine Love on January 6.
These special openings are in addition to the usual ones at
Rome's four papal basilicas: St Peter's, St John Lateran, Saint
Mary Major and St Paul outside the walls.
The guide also lists a special diocesan jubilee celebration
for local politicians and administrators on June 22.
