Italy's Francesco Laporta was ninth
on four under par after 12 holes of the Joburg Open when rain
stopped play in the first round on Thursday.
His compatriot Renato Paratore was 18th in the clubhouse after
carding a three under par 68.
England's Dan Bradbury is leading with and eight under par 63,
one shot ahead of Germany's Nick Bachem and two clear of
France's Clément Berardo, who however still has seven holes to
complete.
The event is the first tournament on the DP World Tour 2023.
