Parma FC is no longer Chinese
after a local group bought up 60% of the Serie A club club from
its Chinese owner, sources said Tuesday.
The company, Nuovo Inizio (New Start), bought the stake from
Chinese magnate and Desport owner Jiang Lizhang, until today the
club's chairman.
Lizhang keeps a 30% stake while the remaining 10% goes to
Parma Partecipazione Calcistica (PPC, Parma soccer
stakeholding).
The name of the new chairman has yet to be announced.
Parma is 11th in Serie A, 12 points behind leaders Juventus.,
under coach Roberto D'Aversa.
