Manchester City have tabled a
50-million-euro (38 million-pound) bid for Juventus central
defender Leonardo Bonucci, according to the Daily Express.
The Express said Man City boss Pep Guardiola wants a
"commanding presence" for the centre of his defence.
But Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also said to be
interested in Bonucci, a vital plank of his
three-time-straight-scudetto-winning Juve team and also the
Italy team that did much better than expected at Euro 2016, the
Express said.
Bonucci, 29, went on to win another two Serie A titled with
Massimiliano Allegri after Conte left for the national-team
bench.
