Juventus clinched their fifth
consecutive Serie A title on Monday when AS Roma's 1-0 win over
second-placed Napoli left them with an unassailable 12-point
lead with three games to go.
The Turin giants, who beat Fiorentina 2-1 away on Sunday,
wrapped up the 32nd scudetto of their history after recovering
from a poor start to the season.
"It was epic," said Juventus and Italy captain, goalkeeper
Gianluigi Buffon.
At the other end of the table, bottom-side Hellas Verona
are relegated despite beating AC Milan 2-1.
Fourth-bottom Carpi's 1-0 win over Empoli means Verona are
10 points shy of the safety zone.
