Juventus closed in on their
fifth consecutive Serie A title when they beat Lazio 3-0 on
Wednesday thanks to a Paulo Dybala double and a goal by Mario
Madzukic.
The victory keeps the Turin giants nine-points clear of
second-placed Napoli with four games to go.
AS Roma Captain Francesco Totti, however, took many of the
front-page headlines after the 39-year-old forward came of the
bench to score a late brace and clinch a 3-2 comeback win at
home over Torino.
The performance fueled calls for the one-club man to be
given a contract renewal, something Roma seem unwilling to do,
amid tension with coach Luciano Spalletti.
Third-placed Rome trail Napoli by five points but, with a
head-to-head coming up, they have a chance of leapfrogging them
into second place to qualify directly for next season's
Champions League without the need to win a playoff.
