Gonzalo Higuain is not set to
leave Napoli at the end of the season, Chairman Aurelio De
Laurentiis said Wednesday. "I've not received any offers for
Higuain, as far as I know he's staying with us," said De
Laurentiis, adding that "we will weigh offers if they come in".
The Argentine striker has been the main striking force behind
Napoli's bid for its first Serie A title since the glory days of
Diego Maradona. He has scored 30 goals in 32 games but Napoli
have fallen six points behind champions and leaders Juventus in
the last month. Higuain is appealing a four-match ban for laying
his hands on the referee's chest in a recent 3-1 loss at
Udinese.
