Ferrari President Sergio
Marchionne said Tuesday that he had total faith that the Italian
Formula One team will be competitive in the upcoming season.
"My faith in Ferrari is indisputable," Marchionne, who is
also the CEO of parent company Fiat Chrysler (FCA), said at the
Geneva Motor Show.
"There is zero chance that the (new race) car is not up to
the challenge".
The glamour team are aiming to challenge Mercedes'
two-year dominance of the sport and end a long title drought
this season.
Ferrari's last constructor's championship win dates to
2008 and the last drivers' title goes back to when Finn Kimi
Raikkonen won in 2007 during his first stint with the team.
The new race car, SF16-H, has been performing well in
pre-season testing.
"The minimum aim is to win more than (the three victories
of) last year," said Marchionne.
