Italy's national football
coach Antonio Conte said Monday sporting events must go on
despite the heightened terrorist threat and players must not
allow themselves to be intimidated.
"Fear is natural" said Conte, speaking on the eve of a
friendly game between Italy and Romania.
"We will go forward without allowing ourselves to be
intimidated by anything or anyone, otherwise we let evil
triumph".
"That's why I say time will not erase the memory," Conte
added.
"We will keep the ball moving".
A series of deadly Islamic terrorist attacks in Paris on
Friday targeted the soccer stadium during a match, several busy
restaurants, and a crowded, popular concert venue.
