Sampdoria Chairman Massimo
Ferrero on Friday told his players to stop "jerking off" after
their embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Serb side Vojvodina in the
first leg of their Europa League third preliminary round tie.
"No more jerking off, they have to play football,"
Ferrero told the Ligurian Primocanale TV channel after
Thursday's defeat, which leaves the Genoa team with little
chance of qualifying for the group stage of Europe's secondary
club competition.
"We deserved to lose the match. We were never in the game.
"They deserved it".
