There is a measles "red alert" in
Italy and it is becoming the worst country for the disease in
the EU, World Health Organisation assistant director Flavia
Bustreo said Wednesday. She said a new government decree making
10 vaccinations compulsory for school admission "will not be
enough" to improve the situation. The vaccination decree, which
envisages booking vaccines in pharmacies, is set to be passed
later today.
