Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday
named a new head of Italy's domestic intelligence service AISI.
The premier appointed Bruno Valensise, former deputy head of the
DIS agency that oversees both AISI and the foreign intelligence
agency AISE, as new AISI director.
Rome-born Valensise will take up his post on Friday April 19,
said a note from the premier's office at Palazzo Chigi.
