President Sergio Mattarella said
Friday that Italy must make sure that its bright young people
are not forced to go abroad to find jobs that match their
skills.
"Today working aboard should no longer be an obligation for
anyone, but an opportunity, especially for the young,"
Mattarella said in a video message for Italians residing abroad
for the Republic Day national holiday.
"It is the Republic's responsibility to ensure that it is a
choice that is freely made.
"It is a question of passing from the brain drain to the
circulation of talents, feeding a virtuous circuit of capacity
and skills".
