Italy will respond to the
European Commission's reproach over its budget plans within the
set time scale - by midday on Monday, sources at the premier's
office said on Friday.
The sources said that the Italian government wants
"constructive dialogue" with the Commission, adding that there
is no evidence of a will to see Italy isolated among its EU
partners.
At the moment there are no plans for a meeting between
Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Premier Giuseppe
Conte as they both have packed agendas, the sources said.
