An elementary school girl in
Genoa on Monday gave President Sergio Mattarella a T-shirt
saying '#Genoainourhearts' referring to the August 14 bridge
collapse that killed 43.
Mattarella was in the northwestern Italian city Monday to
look at progress in relief and ahead of reconstruction of the
Morandi Bridge.
A group of evacuees pled with the president to make sure work
went forward "quckly and well".
Mattarella was also visiting the Genoa Boat Show, becoming
the first Italian president to visit the event.
